HealthThe World Health Organization (WHO) defined health in its broader sense in its old establishment as “a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of illness or infirmity”. The regular growth and development of an individual which is a result of integral and harmonious performance of vital functions is balanced health. Balanced health is a result of various factors like income and social status, social support networks, education and awareness, employment/working conditions, social setting, somatic atmosphere, individual health observations and managing assistances, healthy child development, biology and genetics, health care services, gender and culture.

Lifestyle, environment and biomedical reasons are three prominent factors that influence the health of an individual. Improving health via exercise, getting enough sleep, maintaining a healthy physique and mass, restraining liquor intake, and evading cigarettes are some easy steps to maintain good health.

The most important step to good health is an adequate and balanced diet. The food that we eat provides us with the required energy and nutrition and maintains our health for all our endeavors. Plant-based and animal-based foods provide nutrients to your body and these nutrients give us energy and keep our body running. Nutrients help build and strengthen bones, brawns, and ligaments and also normalize body developments such as blood pressure, etc. Most importantly, as a famous adage goes ‘A healthy mind resides in a healthy body’, our mind will be healthy and productive if physically we are fit and fine and able to undertake and fulfill all tasks. Our mind and mental makeup boosts our will to achieve any task and hence a balanced diet is necessary to rejuvenate ourselves for all the work that is to be done for the day.

Health1Sleep deprivation is another factor that affects our health and it has been proven that people who sleep less correlate with both increased vulnerability to ailments and sluggish retrieval periods from illness. Less sleep may also be a cause of weight gain or weight loss. An individual requires sleep as per the age group and it has been stated by professionals that while an infant requires at least sixteen to seventeen hours of sleep, an adult needs hardly seven to eight hours of sleep but this sleep must be continuous and relaxing.

A very important factor that decides health in today’s world is the research and development carried out in the field of health sciences. With the newest products available on the block for every ailment that a customer has, it becomes increasingly difficult for us to check the product and its utility and effectiveness. Practitioners qualified in medication, treatment, nourishment, dispensary, communal work, psychology, professional rehabilitation, corporeal treatment and other health care professionals give in their best and what we get is a fit ecosphere. Food items and supplements such as chawanprash which is a natural edible item, nutritional drinks, nutritional supplements and the like take the concept of health a notch higher and are ways to attain the perfect balanced health that we can get.
