The regular growth and development of an individual which is a result of integral and harmonious performance of vital functions is balanced health. Balanced health is a result of various factors like income and social status, social support networks, education and awareness, employment/working conditions, social setting, somatic atmosphere, individual health observations and managing assistances, healthy child development, biology and genetics, health care services, gender and culture.

Lifestyle, environment and biomedical reasons are three prominent factors that influence the health of an individual. Improving health via exercise, getting enough sleep, maintaining a healthy physique and mass, restraining liquor intake, and evading cigarettes are some easy steps to maintain good health.

The most important step to good health is an adequate and balanced diet. The food that we eat provides us with the required energy and nutrition and maintains our health for all our endeavors. Our mind and mental makeup boosts our will to achieve any task and hence a balanced diet is necessary to rejuvenate ourselves for all the work that is to be done for the day.

An individual requires sleep as per the age group and it has been stated by professionals that while an infant requires at least sixteen to seventeen hours of sleep, an adult needs hardly seven to eight hours of sleep but this sleep must be continuous and relaxing.
